Welcome to Sasstopia! Sasstopia is a place where women and girls live their best lives as they dare to be sassy, live chic and think geek. The Journey to Sasstopia program is a set of workshops designed to help prepare women and girls to achieve their goals. We take a journey to show up for ourselves; dare to dream and imagine the impossible; and create a vision for our lives. In Sasstopia, we believe that it is important to take moments to pause and reflect on your journey to doing amazing things with a little bit of sass, of course!

Session descriptions are below:

1. Orientation: During this session, you’ll receive an overview of the Journey to Sasstopia program while also engaging in ice-breakers and team-building activities.

2. Journey to Sasstopia: Explore Sasstopia and learn why it is important to create safe spaces for women and girls. Meet the Sassnistas and learn the many ways that they dare to live their best lives as well as why they are passionate about helping other women and girls live their best lives. Participants will engage in activities to explore the many ways that they want to live their best lives.

3. Your Voice: Learn why the Sassnistas think it is important to raise their voice to be heard and the many ways that they find their voice. They believe that being able to speak up for yourself is one of the most important ways that you can show up for yourself. Participants will engage in activities on how they can raise their voice to be heard or to advocate for others.

4. Your Rules : Learn why the Sassnistas think it is important to express themselves by their own rules and the many ways that they are unique. They believe that being able to celebrate who you are from the inside-out is another way to show up as the best version of yourself. Participants will engage in activities on how they can express themselves by their own rules.

5. Your Power: Learn why the Sassnistas believe that their brainpower is their ultimate power. They believe that being smart should be celebrated and that we all have unique skills and talents that we can use to achieve our goals. Participants will engage in activities on how they can use their brainpower as their ultimate power.

6. Show Kindness to Yourself: Learn why the Sassnistas make an effort to show kindness to themselves. They believe that it is important to respond to challenges with kindness and grace to themselves because we can be too hard on ourselves. Participants will engage in activities focused on finding healthy ways to deal with setbacks and challenges.

7. Lead: BOSS Moves: Learn why the Sassnistas believe in building strong leadership skills to not be strong leaders, but to create the change they want to see. They believe that a good leader wants to help others thrive. Participants will engage in activities that will help them build transformational leadership skills.

8. Lead: WILD For Change: Learn why the Sassnistas are passionate about learning the many ways that they can create meaningful change in the world. They believe that a good leader has the ability to make meaningful change in society. Participants will engage in activities focused on easy things that they can do to create change in school, in their community and around the world.

We believe that life is a journey and we are constantly learning, evolving and experiencing new things. Change is the only constant in this world and we want you to create a vision that is flexible enough to navigate the highs and lows but solid enough to remain true to your values.

• Eligibility: middle school girls (6-8th grades)

• 25 Journey to Sasstopia: Show Up & Lead workbooks included. Additional workbooks available for additional cost.

• Participants receive Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of program.

• In-person workshops, programs and trainings held within 150 mile radius of Baltimore, MD only.

• Virtual sessions held via Zoom.

• This program can be customized upon request.
