Digital Me: Building Your Online Identity
Social media and various online platforms have been at the center of debates related to teen mental health. Discussions about how social media should be used by young people are happening within families and at the highest levels of government. Since the impact of social media on young people is most significant, they should play an active role in determining how they want to show up in online places and spaces in a healthy way.
Digital Me: Building Your Online Identity is an interactive program focused on helping teens have a better relationship with social media. In this program, students will discuss ways to make healthier decisions about the content they consume; how they engage online; the type of content they create; and how to have a digital-life balance that minimizes the negative impacts of social media use on their mental health.
